The great race fans of the Southwest joined us for round two of the Rancho Milagro Short Track Shootout presented by S&S Fishing & Rental, Torco Race Fuels, Barnett Harley-Davidson, G3 Fitness, and Premier Waist Services making it a vigorous night. Jimmy Ray would pick up a win over hard charging Nick Rivera in the Hacienda Carpet & Tile USRA X-Mods. Fito Gallardo get's a Anthony Sosa Roofing Late Model win over Daly, and Gallardo. Dylan Harris picks up four straight in 2018 with the Casa Nissan Legends of the Southwest, and Michael Sheen from La Mesa, Texas picks up the Sun Valley Hardware USRA Stock Car Feature.

Jaime Torres kicked the show off with Nathan Smith for the twenty-lap feature for the Hacienda Carpet & Tile USRA X-Mods. Three cautions kicked the feature off until the fourth try was the golden one. Jaime Torres lead the opening rounds with Jimmy Ray within striking distance. Jimmy Ray rushed on the top with Torres playing defense on the bottom. Both drivers went side y side for the lead, but Jimmy Ray would snatch the lead! Ray would handle four restarts. The final caution brought us to a green, white, checker finish. Nick Rivera stared seventh and shot like a rocket on the restart running second! Rivera would give Jimmy Ray a run for his money but managed to hold him off to pick up the win in round two of the Hacienda Carpet & Tile USRA X-Mods.

The Anthony Sosa Roofing Late Models Feature was a Gallardo front row. Fito Gallardo would get to work early with Clay Daly and Jacob Gallardo battling behind for second. Fito Gallardo would reach lapped traffic on lap six with him, Daly, and Jake running the top. All three lapped cars were running the bottom until Fito hit a roadblock on lap fifteen with lapped traffic on the bottom and top! Daly would see an opening and take his fast 32B machine to the bottom! The climax got heated up until the caution flew! On the restart Fito had clear sailing and would run away to win the Anthony Sosa Roofing Late Models!

Dylan Harris goes back-to-back-to-back-to-back with the Casa Nissan Legends of the Southwest! Harris started on the pol with Daniel Blaeser. Harris would win the race into turns one and two which lead to him running away. Daniel Blaeser, C.J. Hulsey, and Cameron Sogge would go three wide battling for the runner-up position. It was a thrilling battle but Hulsey would take car of business. Dylan Harris was long gone by the time things settled down as Dylan Harris picks up the win and continues to be the only winner in 2018 for the Casa Nissan Legends of the Southwest.

Tony Hill out of Cortez, Colorado searched for victory at the Southern New Mexico Speedway trying to reclaim the crown on these big weekends and fell short! Hill stood his ground after starting on the pole with five cautions. The fourth caution made the feature spicy. Donavon Flores had to travel from the thirteenth starting position with Michael Sheen who started twelfth. Both drivers put on a show coming to the front through the whole main until the made a huge noise for the lead going three wide with Hill with two laps to go!! Flores would going for a power move on the middle with Sheen hard on the bottom and Hill on the top! It was folding out to be a dramatic photo three wide finish but a caution flew with one to go! Officials made it a green, white, checker, but it wasn't the same as Flores ran third, and Michael Sheen married the bottom and took the lead from Hill for the win!
